Bofama - Vintage Distressed Rug - 5'7 X 9'6

This hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece celebrates Anatolian heritage through its flatwoven construction, faded patina, abrash detail, and overdyed finish. Featuring a low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable profile, this layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave offers a soft-touch, distressed character with a ghost-pattern and 70s craftsmanship in a cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal design with sun-bleached tones. About This Style Vintage rugs are defined by an aged aesthetic, often featuring faded tones, abrash colour variation, and distressed surface treatments that mimic decades of use. Distressed designs frequently incorporate overdyed finishes, which leave ghost-like traces of the original pattern beneath a saturated colour wash. Medallion motifs serve as the anchor of these compositions, often rendered in geometric or stylised forms that reflect the mid-20th-century Anatolian hand-weaving tradition. Where It Works The flatweave construction makes this rug suitable for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. Its minimal profile is ideal for layering over larger carpets or placement on surfaces with underfloor heating. Why Choose This Rug? — Features a prominent central medallion motif set against a distressed, overdyed turquoise ground with visible ghost-pattern detailing. — Crafted from a cotton and polyester blend, offering the breathability of cotton with the moisture resistance and strength of polyester. — The flatwoven construction ensures the rug lies perfectly flat and remains shed-free, maintaining its appearance in busy households. — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production. — Reversible weave design provides added versatility and extended utility for varied floor types and high-traffic usage.
