BOEING 747 Titanium Ring

Crafted from an Authentic CF6-80C2 Engine Mount Our newest custom creation marks a milestone for Whaletail Sales: our first aviation jewelry drop. Each ring is handcrafted from authentic titanium sourced from a Boeing 747 engine mount that was a flight-critical structural component originally engineered to support a CF6-80C2 engine, one of the most powerful and widely used wide-body engines in commercial aviation history. This material comes directly from a real 747 aircraft teardown, giving new life to a component that once carried hundreds of passengers across oceans at altitude. No replicas. No surplus scrap. Just genuine aviation material, re-engineered into a wearable form. Every ring is cut, shaped, and finished by hand. Because the source material varies across the engine mount, no two rings are exactly alike. Each carries its own grain, character, and story. Designed to be worn as a wedding band, promise ring, or meaningful gift, this piece carries the legacy of the Queen of the Skies, making it a powerful symbol for aviation professionals, enthusiasts, and anyone who values craftsmanship, commitment, and heritage. This isn’t just jewelry. It’s aviation heritage you can wear. Key Features Made from real titanium engine mount material Sourced from a Boeing 747 CF6-80C2 engine mount Material removed during an authentic aircraft teardown Hand-crafted and hand-finished Made to order- we will work with you on timeline Each ring is one-of-one in appearance Durable, lightweight titanium construction First official Whaletail Aviation Jewelry release Aircraft & Material History The Boeing 747 known worldwide as the “Queen of the Skies”, redefined long-haul air travel. Its CF6-80C2 engines powered countless intercontinental flights, while the engine mounts that held them were engineered to withstand extreme loads, vibration, heat, and decades of service. By transforming this titanium into rings, we preserve that legacy in a completely new form—functional, symbolic, and personal. What Makes This Ring Different Not cast, stamped, or mass-produced Not made from generic titanium stock Made from a real structural aircraft component Directly tied to a specific aircraft teardown Created by an aviation parts company—not a jewelry brand Care Notes Titanium is highly corrosion-resistant and built for durability. Minor surface wear over time adds character and reflects real use, just like the aircraft it came from.
