BMW E9X M3 Racing Transmission Cooler

CSF High-Efficiency Transmission Cooler – E9X M3 (CSF Part #8042) Transmission Heat Management, Dialed In. When it comes to track and high-performance driving, keeping your transmission temps in check is just as critical as engine or oil cooling. The CarBahn High-Efficiency Transmission Cooler, engineered in partnership with CSF, is a drop-in solution for E9X M3s that delivers up to 30% greater cooling efficiency over the factory unit—without requiring any modifications. Built with CSF’s advanced AC condenser technology, this cooler features an all-aluminum, dual-pass design with upgraded internal microtubes that keep transmission fluid temperatures within optimal range, even under aggressive driving conditions. Key Performance Features: Dual-Pass High-Performance Core – Coolant flows through the core twice, lowering outlet temps and improving fluid stability under load. 11-Channel Microtube Design – Upgraded from the OEM’s 10-tube setup, this version features a 22mm-wide, single-row, high-pressure layout for enhanced heat exchange. 100% Aluminum Construction – Fully TIG-welded for maximum durability and corrosion resistance. Lab-Tested ~30% Efficiency Increase – Keeps transmission temps under control when the factory cooler can’t keep up. True Plug-and-Play Installation – Fully compatible with factory mounting points, oil-line connections, shrouds, and ducting. Designed for Demanding Environments – Ideal for vehicles with upgraded power levels, track use, or heavy-duty performance driving. Why It Matters The factory E9X M3 transmission cooler simply wasn’t designed for the heat generated in motorsport or aggressive use. Rising temps can lead to delayed shifts, reduced clutch pack longevity, and overall drivability issues. Upgrading to this high-efficiency unit ensures that your DCT or automatic transmission operates within its safe thermal limits—protecting performance and reliability. CarBahn Recommendation For any E9X M3 seeing hard use—especially supercharged builds or cars running long stints on track—this transmission cooler is a must-have reliability upgrade. Pair it with our oil and power steering cooling solutions for a fully integrated thermal management system.
