Genuine BMW Center Console Alcantara Pad - E46 M3 CSL

In BMW's effort to cut out as much weight as possible from the famous "Coupé Sport Leichtbau" model, one of the many changes found on the E46 M3 CSL was its completely bespoke carbon center console. The M3 CSL received a special "minimalist" console constructed from carbon fiber that did away with the heavy thick plastic, fold-down armrest mechanism and cushion, ashtray, cupholders and other miscellaneous bits. Aside from also including a provision for the relocated side-mirror adjustment switch, the console included a simple partition for miscellaneous small pocket items. However, as the console had a hard, clear coated carbon finish, anything placed in this tray area would slide around and possibly scratch the carbon finish. As such, BMW included a simple yet effective foam-padded Alcantara trim piece to fit neatly at the bottom of the partition.
