Kate's take: I wanted to see whether I could make a bold, bright pink feel quiet and sophisticated. By layering the resin over muted neutral tones (mocha, taupe, fawn grey) and pale violet (it's not white :)), the "blush" becomes a texture that gives definition and life to the neutrals. The warmth of the white oak frame surrounding the organic shapes gives the piece beautifully balanced architecture.
