While some may favour the rival WiiM Pro Plus’ leaner, tighter sound, the Bluesound makes a case for itself with greater levels of sonic smoothness and weight. Small, smart and solid sounding, the Nano does a decent job of proving that size doesn’t always matter." - What Hi-Fi?   Bluesound Node Nano Streamer/DAC Reviewed - Read More "The Bluesound Node Nano is a new concept for Lenbrook: entry-level price and entry-level features: all you need for a simple yet sophisticated implementation of high-tech streaming into your home, with a stellar ecosystem to grow into. If you’re seeking an affordable way to enhance your audio system with robust streaming, the Bluesound Node Nano is an excellent option. While it lacks multiple connectivity options, you may not need them. As you are likely aware, NAD and PSB are under the Lenbrook umbrella and include the BluOS module in those products, which rounds out the technological ecosystem. For example, if you had a NAD AV receiver, preamp processor, high-end NAD Master Series streamer/DAC, and a set of wireless PSB speakers, they would utilize the same Bluesound APP for music streaming and navigating all your connected BluOS-enabled devices.  Bottom line: I am impressed with the performance of the Bluesound Node Nano and believe it is an excellent option for consumers looking for a simple path to add high-performance streaming to their homes on a budget. " - Greg Handy    Bluesound Node Nano Streamer Review - Read More "If the process by which you choose equipment is a numbers game, I suspect you have already made your mind up about the Nano and I completely understand why. It’s exactly twice the price of the Wiim Pro which sports a similar spec and better connectivity and it’s only £50 less than the Wiim Ultra which we’ve yet to test but, let’s be honest here, is unlikely to be shabby. I do not feel that the process by which the Nano sets out to take the young upstart on at its own game is going to be completely successful because the young upstart is sufficiently large and enjoys sufficient economies of scale that it can’t be nipped in the bud. This doesn’t tell the whole story though. This is still the most cost effective way of buying into the best multiroom interface in the business and the value of the Nano hinges on how many other BluOS devices you either already have or think you might secure going forward. The Nano’s virtue as a single device is considerable but not untouchable. As part of a wider household of devices though, it’s rather more impressive and Bluesound has gone and shaved another £150 off the cost of turning an existing system into one of those zones. This is a device you buy for the present with one eye on the future and its strength in depth means it comes enthusiastically Recommended." - Ed Selley   Bluesound Node Nano Review - Read More "The Node Nano brings Bluesound’s streaming devices down to a more accessible price, and while it’s not as feature-packed as some of its other offerings, for those after a simple, hi-fi streaming product, this represents a solid choice. The sound it contributes to is an engaging and balanced one, and the streaming options that the BluOS platform offers is wide. File support is strong and the design is discreet and smart. For those who want a more audiophile experience, the step-up Node is available. If not, the Node Nano is a convenient and accessible streamer that should hold no fear for those making their first steps into the world of hi-fi." -  Kob Monney   Bluesound Node Nano review: an affordable, audiophile-grade mini music streamer - Read More "There’s something to be said for a device like the Node Nano, with its tight focus on streaming digital audio and crystal clear sound. " - Simon Cohen   Review Bluesound Node Nano N030: small box full of talent - Read More "Despite fierce competition in the budget segment, the Node Nano manages to carve out a nice niche. Bluesound could have built a cheap device with more limited streaming options so that it wouldn't cannibalize sales of the more expensive Nodes. Instead, it gave the Nano exactly the same BluOS capabilities as much more expensive devices. So Bluesound is consistent, which makes the Node Nano a good choice if you already have BluOS devices in your home and want to build a multi-room system without spending a fortune. Even as a standalone streamer, the Node Nano has a lot to offer: excellent app controls, a range of alternative streaming options (including Roon) and good sound quality via Bluetooth. The built-in DAC is solid, although the gap with the slightly more expensive Node is noticeable. A plus is that you can also use the Node Nano as a digital streamer with an integrated amplifier with a better DAC. In short, a versatile thing that performs above average - and that for a price that won't jeopardize your holiday plans." - Jamie Biesemans   Review: Bluesound Node Nano & Node N132 – Regelrechte aanraders! - Read More "With the Node Nano, Bluesound is launching a rock-solid and very affordable music streamer. The BluOS operating system has more than proven itself and is constantly being upgraded through software upgrades. It is probably one of the most reliable on the market and the range of different devices to set up a real multi-room system is large. For the price, the Nano has an interesting range of connection options, but what is especially convincing is the excellent display quality. Inconspicuous in appearance but very striking when it comes to performance. A very welcome addition to the Bluesound range and universally applicable. If you are willing to spend a little more, the Node N132 is able to meet even more needs. More connection options, including HDMI eArc, which makes it possible to integrate image and sound. Even better display quality, excellent headphone amplifier and soon Dirac Live. In short, a more than competent all-rounder that can function as the beating heart of many installations. It is also nice that Bluesound offers the greater functionality and improved sound quality at the same price as its predecessor. With this duo, Bluesound has launched competitively priced winners on the market, absolute must-haves!
