Bluebigwa

Hosta ‘Bluebigwa’ is a large blue hosta that forms a strong, upright mound of bold foliage. The plant features rounded, heart-shaped, blue-green leaves with noticeable corrugation and slight cupping as the plant matures, giving the clump a textured appearance in the shade garden. The thick leaves hold their blue tone best in shady conditions because the blue color comes from a waxy coating on the foliage. In early summer, tall scapes rise above the mound, carrying nearly white flowers that add contrast to the cool blue foliage.
