Blueberry Tetra

To protect our animals and to ensure they get to our customers healthy, we will only ship orders with Nano Fish via UPS Next Day Air. Blueberry Tetra or scientifically known as Hyphessobrycon wadai, is a fairly new tetra to the hobby. Adult Blueberry Tetras exhibit a beautiful purple-blue body with reddish-orange fins as shown in the photo. We sell these fish as juveniles and the colors will not be as vibrant, however, they will soon color up when they are older. Like most fish, the males tend to be more colorful than the females. We sell them at about 1 inch in length but they can grow up to 1.5 inches. Like most Tetras, we recommend keeping these guys in groups of 5 or more for them to feel safe in a large school. They will look especially stunning in a planted tank. Blueberry Tetra are pretty easy to care as long as they are introduced to a mature, cycled tank. They can acclimate to a wide range of parameters.   We feed them a mix of live baby brine shrimp, frozen daphnia and high-quality flake food.
