Blueberry Honey Candy

Blueberries as Big as the End of Your Thumb Robert Frost wrote about blueberries the way most people write about treasure: found, not planted, real sky-blue and briefly yours. That’s the fruit we chased for this candy. Not a flavoring that gestures at blueberry, but the berry itself, freeze dried and pressed into all natural extract, folded into honey candy drop by drop. Blueberry bushes are pollinator plants. In spring, bees work the little bell-shaped blossoms, and by July the bushes pay it back in fruit. This candy holds that whole exchange in one drop: blossom, bee, berry. It opens with honey sweetness and finishes with the tart snap of a berry picked a day early. Each hexagon-window box holds 3.5 ounces of individually crafted drops, made without corn syrup and without gluten. The box is sustainably made paper you can recycle or compost, and the inner bag is recyclable food-grade plastic. What Makes Our Blueberry Honey Candy Special? Real blueberry, two ways: Freeze dried blueberries and all natural blueberry extract, not artificial flavoring. A touch of malic acid, the same acid found naturally in fruit, sharpens the tart finish. Honey at the center: Made with real honey and Non-GMO sugar. No corn syrup anywhere in the recipe. Sweet first, then the tart: The flavor arrives in order. Honey opens, blueberry follows, and the tartness lands last, like the berry itself. Gluten-free: Made without gluten. Produced in a facility that handles peanuts and tree nuts. Thoughtful packaging: A sustainably made paper box with a honeycomb window, recyclable or home-compostable when clean and dry. Bring home the berry Frost went looking for. How to use: Eat them right out of the box. Keep them in a coat pocket for a slow-dissolving sweet that lasts. Tuck a box into a care package, or pair a drop with a cup of hot tea and let the blueberry come through as it melts. Store in a cool, dry place away from sun and humidity.
