Raymay's classic Grid Ruler was among the winners of the 2008 Good Design Award, and it's a certified staff favorite here in St. Louis. The super-thick crystal-clear acrylic is printed with gridlines and halftone areas that make design work and drafting easier. There's a beveled edge on one side that makes it easy to use as a straightedge, and the bottom has a unique no-slip texture. Features include: Anti-slip texture on the underside of the ruler helps keep the ruler in place when pressing it firmly against the page. When pressed lightly, it slides easily across the surface. Alternating shaded sections every 5 mm and large numbers every 5 cm allow quick and easy measuring. Transparent design lets you see paper underneath the ruler. Grid pattern aids lining up parallel and perpendicular lines. Long blank section in the middle of the ruler is helpful for reading text line by line. Measurements are printed along both edges. One edge has measurements beginning from the right edge, making it useful for left-handed users. It also lets you effortlessly align the zero mark with the edge of what you are measuring—perfect for measuring heights and depths. Winner of the Good Design Award. Made in Japan.
