Blue Passion

Blue Passion Donna Isham (United States) Acrylic, oil, and graphite on stretched canvas Size: 30"W x 40"H Framed in white  Blue Passion is a striking contemporary figure painting by Donna Isham, defined by its cool blue atmosphere, fluid line work, and quiet emotional intensity. A figure appears and dissolves within luminous fields of blue. Through gesture, atmosphere, and restraint, the work explores intimacy, longing, and the emotional resonance that exists between presence and memory. The solitary figure turns away from the viewer, rendered through soft washes, black gestural contours, and cascading vertical drips that suggest both movement and vulnerability. The palette of icy blue, pale gray, cream, and deep black creates a powerful balance between serenity and passion. Intimate without being literal, Blue Passion invites reflection on strength, sensuality, and emotional depth, making it a compelling original artwork for collectors of contemporary figurative abstraction.
