Blow My Mind

A Mother’s Sudden Stroke and Her Relentless Fight to Reclaim Her Life She was the quintessential supermom: mother of ten, business owner, author, active community member…until it all came to a sudden stop. A massive stroke left half of Baila Paluch’s body paralyzed and robbed her of the ability to speak. Now what? Her baby was just one week old.  Her family needed her.  She was too young to check out of life!  But her body was refusing to cooperate… Live Baila’s medical drama with her, as she carries you into her world. Cry with her as understanding of her situation dawns. Ache with her at each excruciating therapy session, as she struggles to relearn basic skills that most toddlers can do on autopilot. Cheer for her as, slowly, slowly, she learns to master the art of saying a sentence…taking a step…changing a diaper…cooking a pot of pasta… And laugh with her throughout, since Baila’s upbeat and witty personality is enough to bring the sun into any situation. Blow My Mind is not just a memoir; it’s an immersive experience. Dive into a narrative that grabs your attention on the very first page and never lets go. …Baila’s story is a brilliant balance of heartbreaking pain and laugh-aloud humor. A riveting account of resilience that eschews happily-ever-after for something far more valuable and profound, Blow My Mind is a gift for any-one who craves an authentic glimpse at the process of dealing with a new reality… Rebbetzin Dinah Fink, Founder and Director of Lechu V’Nelcha Medical memoir that’s human and profound—check.
