Bloomwood

Bloomwood | Original Acrylic Painting A garden does not apologize for its abundance — and neither does Bloomwood. This richly textured floral painting is an unrestrained celebration of color, form, and the particular joy of things in full bloom. Across a canvas that stands just over 25 inches tall, multi-hued blossoms emerge from the surface with a presence that feels genuinely botanical — not illustrative, not decorative, but alive with the kind of specificity that only comes from paint applied with real attention and care. Each flower is its own world. Petals are built up in layered acrylic that catches light along its raised edges and deepens into shadow in the passages between strokes — creating a surface that reads as richly three-dimensional, almost tactile, as though the blooms are pressing forward from the canvas toward whoever is looking. Leaves and stems ground the composition, their greens providing the quiet counterpoint that makes every blossom burn brighter by contrast. The color is unapologetic and deeply considered — warm and cool tones placed against one another with the intuition of someone who understands not just individual hues but the relationships between them. Where one flower glows, the space around it deepens. Where the background recedes, the foreground advances. Light and shadow move across the composition naturally, as they would across a real garden in shifting afternoon sun. Bloomwood is the kind of floral painting that earns its place — not as decoration, but as genuine presence. Something that brings the outside in and keeps it there year-round. For collectors who want botanical work with real painterly depth and lasting visual vitality. Medium: Acrylic Paint on Canvas Dimensions: 25¼" H × 16¾" W Unframed | 2024 Artist: Chris Hunt
