Bloomquist Down Dahlia

The Bloomquist Down Dahlia produces stunning 5-inch blooms in soft pink and yellow tones, creating a striking focal point in any garden bed or cutting arrangement. Reaching approximately 4 feet in height, this variety offers excellent presence and visual impact while remaining manageable for most gardeners. Ideal for mid-to-back border placement, it delivers reliable performance and extended blooming throughout the season. How To Plant Dahlias To get your dahlias started, pick a sunny spot with soil that drains well. Dig a hole, lay the tuber flat, and cover it with soil about 3 inches deep. Hold off on watering for now. Once you spot some sprouts and a few leaves, it’s time to water, but keep it gentle to prevent root rot. It’s a smart  to put the stake next to the tuber at the same time of planting, so you don’t accidentally damage it later on. As the season goes on, give your dahlias some love with fertilizer and insect sprays to help them bloom beautifully and grow strong. In the fall, dig up the roots and store them over winter.
