In production!  A professor and a professional rock and metal guitar player decide to start a podcast called "The Kill or be Killed Contest." taking place in a block of abandoned buildings called "Murdertown." The place is surrounded by a lethal electric fence, and the last of the twelve combatants living gets five million dollars. Of course, it is a hoax, as there is no block of buildings and no prize money. Competitively, the two creators start inventing the characters to populate this adventure, when real killers start applying. Both innovators are shocked when they end up inside Murdertown as the two last contestants.   EDITIONS Deluxe Signed & Lettered Hardcover Edition with Slipcase Signed by the Author and Artist Hand-Lettered A to Z Full color front cover artwork by Michael Squid Front Cover and Spine Stampings Limited to 26 signed and lettered hardcover editions Slipcase: Yes! Phantom Effect is ripe with beauty and terror a thrill ride with the brakes gone out. You'll only open this book once.” — Thorne and Cross, authors of The Ghosts of Ravencrest and The Cliffhouse Haunting “A philosophically rich fearfest that's recommended for readers who prefer their titillation to include some complexity ... a perverted parable that challenges traditional moral norms and reader expectations. A thriller designed to question as much as entertain.” — Publishers Weekly “One of the most powerful and gripping horror novels I’ve read in years. Phantom Effect establishes Aronovitz as a prominent voice in contemporary weird fiction.” — S. T. Joshi “Razor-sharp description, breakneck action, and sympathetic characters . . . a philosophically rich fearfest that’s recommended for readers who prefer their titillation to include some complexity.” — Publishers Weekly on Phantom Effect “Will remind many of the better work of Stephen King. . . . the execution and prose are exemplary.” — Publishers Weekly on Seven Deadly Pleasures “I went through this book rather quickly, and putting it down to head into work was a struggle. . . . Aronovitz has a strong sense of pace, never allowing the story to slow down or become overburdened and bloated. This sense of focus, combined with an excellent sense of character and setting, as well as an original take on the ghost, make for an excellent debut and marks Aronovitz as a writer to watch.” — The Arkham Digest on Alice Walks
