Block Analysis - Strontium - Tropic Marin

Tropic Marin® Block Strontium is a concentrated trace element solution formulated to replenish strontium and barium—two essential alkaline earth metals critical for skeletal development in corals, clams, and calcareous algae. These elements naturally occur in seawater but are rapidly depleted in thriving reef systems through coral growth and biological uptake. Strontium supports the formation and strength of coral skeletons, complementing the role of calcium in building robust, vibrant reef structures. Barium, while required in smaller amounts, plays a similar structural and metabolic role, contributing to healthy, balanced coral growth. Using the Tropic Marin® Block System, this supplement doses both elements in a precise ratio through an indicator-based method. This ensures that trace elements are delivered consistently—even when their concentrations fall below measurable detection limits—maintaining long-term equilibrium in your reef system.     Key Benefits     Restores strontium and barium levels essential for coral and calcareous algae growth. Promotes stronger skeletons, improved structure, and natural growth patterns. Utilizes Tropic Marin’s Block System for balanced, ratio-based dosing. Maintains stability even when element concentrations are below detection thresholds. Easy dosing with integrated dropper cap, suitable for manual or automated use.       Element Concentrations     Strontium (Sr): 50,000 mg/L Barium (Ba): 66 mg/L       Dosage & Application   Add 2 ml per 100 L (26 US gal) of aquarium water daily to increase concentrations by approximately:   Strontium: +1 mg/L (ppm) Barium: +1.32 µg/L (ppb)   Maximum dosage: 4 ml per 100 L (26 US gal) daily. Store in a cool, dark place to preserve quality and stability.     Ingredients   Purified water, inorganic compounds of strontium and barium.   Tropic Marin® Block Strontium provides precise replenishment of critical structural elements for reef-building corals—ensuring consistent skeletal growth, long-term reef stability, and vibrant marine health.
