Blizzard Anomaly JR and Marker 7

Junior All-Mountain Ski and System Binding Blizzard Anomaly JR and Marker 7 The Blizzard Anomaly JR and Marker 7 is a junior all-mountain package for children skiing confidently on groomed runs and starting to ski the whole hill. A 106-67-95 mm shape at 130 cm with a rockered tip turns easily at low speed, and the radius steps from 7 m at 110 cm to 13 m at 150 cm, so the ski grows in turn shape as the child grows in length. The binding comes mounted on Blizzard's FDT Junior RTL plate, which adjusts across several boot sizes without remounting, and we set it in the shop for the child rather than shipping it preset. Is This the Right Package for You? Best For Children skiing confidently on groomed runs who are ready for a ski of their own, in lengths from 110 cm to 150 cm, with a binding a shop can keep adjusting as they grow. Consider Another Package If Your child is still on very short skis, is skiing a full mountain aggressively, or has outgrown a 7-rated junior binding, since this is a junior system package. Why We Like It The FDT Junior RTL plate adjusts across several boot sizes without a remount, which usually buys two seasons out of one package. A 67 mm waist and a rockered tip make turn initiation easy at the low speeds children actually ski. Radius steps from 7 m to 13 m across the size run, so the package suits a first confident skier and a much taller one. Composite cap construction keeps the ski light enough for a child to steer rather than be steered by. Best Uses Groomed resort runs and progression terrain Children moving off rental gear onto their own skis Families who want a package a shop can adjust for two seasons Ski school and after-school programmes Junior skiers between 110 cm and 150 cm of ski length 📏 Technical Specifications Manufacturer specs · Click to expand Shape and Sizing Dimensions 106-67-95 mm (130 cm) Turn Radius 7 m (110 cm), 8 m (120 cm), 10 m (130 cm), 12 m (140 cm), 13 m (150 cm) Lengths 110, 120, 130, 140, 150 cm Rocker Profile Rockered tip, camber underfoot Package and Setup Construction JR Composite Cap over a FDT Junior RTL plate, size S at 110 cm and size L from 120 cm to 150 cm Binding FDT JR 7 binding Plate FDT Junior RTL plate, size S at 110 cm and size L from 120 cm to 150 cm Setup System package. Children skiing confidently on groomed runs who are ready for a ski of their own, in lengths from 110 cm to 150 cm, with a binding a shop can keep adjusting as they grow. How is the binding on the Anomaly JR and Marker 7 set up? The FDT JR 7 binding comes on the FDT Junior RTL plate, size S at 110 cm and size L from 120 cm to 150 cm and is mounted and adjusted in the shop by a certified technician, using your child's boots and their current weight, height and age. Release settings are not a published figure on this package because they are set for the individual child and need checking every season as they grow. Why is the binding listed two ways? The listing name and the manufacturer catalog use different names for the same package. Blizzard's FW26/27 catalog lists article 8A6414ME with the FDT JR 7 binding, and our listing carries the retail binding name. It is one package and one article number, not two products. Can the binding be adjusted as my child grows? Yes, within a range. Junior system bindings adjust for boot sole length across several boot sizes without remounting, which is most of the reason to buy a system package rather than a flat ski. Bring the skis and the new boots in and we will reset the length and recheck the release setting. What length should I buy for my child? Bring them in. Junior sizing depends on height, weight, ability and how fast they are growing, and the honest answer changes between a cautious skier and a confident one at the same height. As a starting point a confident junior skis a ski somewhere between the chin and the top of the head, but we would rather measure than guess. Is this package worth it over renting? Usually, if your child skis more than about a week a season. The plate adjusts across boot sizes so one package often covers two seasons, and a ski that fits properly does more for progression than any other single piece of gear. Below roughly a week a season, seasonal rental is often the better value. Our Verdict The Blizzard Anomaly JR and Marker 7 is a straightforward junior package for a child who is past the learning stage. A 106-67-95 mm shape with a rockered tip turns easily, radius from 7 m to 13 m covers a wide span of sizes, and the FDT Junior RTL plate means the binding follows the child through a boot size or two rather than being outgrown in a season. The release setting is ours to set and yours to bring back for a check each year, which is the part of a junior package that actually matters.
