Blank-Wave Arcade

The Faint's, Blank-Wave Arcade -- the color of night-time neon. Its' interior, an unlikely one night stand of high-tech and punk rockethics. Lonely and desolate, its' supercollision pop rushes at you like images from a Berlin Blade Runner or Mad Max. Their music, stark and uncompromising, is filled with electronic surges, darkwave brushstrokes, confessionals and come-ons. The Faint combine rock instruments (guitar, bass) with "now” electronic elements (synths, drum machines) to create melodic, melancholic post-modern music-- but not without hope. Their music is haunting, yet danceable--an aesthete's memory of tainted pop music. "The Faint display an aggressive, dynamic reinterpretation of their influences" - Sputnik Music "Blank-Wave Arcade will continue to earn them a place as one of the more stunning bands of the new millennium." - AllMusic "The Faint hit the synths harder than Gary Numan in his prime." - xlr8r "The Faint have created one of the first records that's equal parts '80s new wave and garage rock. What're you gonna say about that? It sounds fuckin' awesome!" - Pitchfork LP PACKAGING NOTES: 180g white vinyl pressed at IRP Includes download card  Release Date: November 1st, 1999 TRACK LIST 01.
