This grey Apex vintage rug is a hand-woven, one-of-a-kind piece rooted in Anatolian heritage, featuring a flatwoven construction, faded patina, abrash detail, overdyed finish, low-pile, no-shed, high-traffic durable, layering-friendly, underfloor-heating safe, reversible weave, soft-touch, distressed character, ghost-pattern, 70s craftsmanship, cotton-polyester blend, single-piece artisanal, and sun-bleached tones. About This Style Vintage rugs are defined by an aesthetic that mimics the appearance of antique textiles through faded tones, abrash colour variations, and intentional surface treatments. Distressed rugs often undergo an overdyeing process, where a saturated colour bath is applied to reveal a ghost-pattern of the original weave beneath the surface. Medallion motifs serve as the focal point of these designs, typically presented in geometric or stylised forms that reflect the mid-20th-century Anatolian weaving tradition. Where It Works The flatwoven construction of this rug allows it to lie flush against the floor, making it ideal for high-traffic areas such as hallways, entryways, and kitchens. It is compatible with underfloor heating systems and serves as a practical choice for layering over larger carpets. The durability of the weave ensures it remains stable in frequently used zones of the home. Why Choose This Rug? — Features a central medallion motif with a distressed surface that highlights the characteristic ghost-pattern of 70s-era production. — Constructed from a cotton and polyester blend, providing the breathability of natural fibres combined with the moisture resistance and durability of synthetic materials. — The flatweave construction ensures a no-shed, low-pile profile that is easy to maintain in busy household environments. — These rugs reference the Anatolian hand-weaving tradition; each piece is one-of-a-kind, with minor variations in colour and pattern that are characteristic of vintage-style production. — Engineered for versatility, the reversible weave and layering-friendly design make this rug suitable for diverse interior layouts and high-traffic floor surfaces.
