BlacktipH Shark Rig

The BlacktipH Shark Rig is purpose-built for anglers targeting the ocean’s most powerful predators. Designed for both beach and offshore applications, this heavy-duty rig is engineered to withstand crushing bites, violent head shakes, and blistering runs from large sharks and other apex predators. Built for Extreme Pressure Whether you’re deploying baits from the surf, kayak, or boat, this rig delivers the strength and reliability needed when targeting species capable of destroying standard tackle setups. At the core of the rig is a premium Mustad® 39950 12/0 Hook featuring a corrosion-resistant Black Nickel finish for superior penetration, holding power, and long-term saltwater durability. Maximum Bite Protection The rig is constructed with 3 feet of #15 single-strand wire leader to prevent bite-offs from razor-sharp teeth while maintaining a clean, effective bait presentation. Paired with 9 feet of 400lb fluorocarbon mainline, the setup provides exceptional abrasion resistance against rough skin, tail-whips, structure, and extended fights with oversized predators. Heavy-Duty Offshore Components A 350lb stainless steel swivel ensures smooth rotation, minimizes line twist, and maintains dependable connections under extreme drag pressure. Why Anglers Choose This Rig Designed in collaboration with BlacktipH, this rig is trusted for targeting large sharks from both land and offshore environments where tackle failure is not an option.
