Key Functional Details 166mm extended length Flangeless design Classic ribbed pattern with blended modern styling Slip-on rubber construction Designed for BMX, cruiser, and flat bar applications Available in multiple color options Compatibility & Technical Notes Fits standard 22.2mm BMX / MTB flat handlebars Slip-on design (not lock-on) Grip adhesive or hairspray recommended for installation Bar plugs required for safe installation NOT compatible with twist shifters without trimming Service / Ownership Context These are traditional slip-on grips. Proper installation is critical to prevent spinning. Expect normal wear on the outer palm area over time, especially with glove-free riding. Fit & Use Signals Good Fit: BMX park and street riders, cruiser builds, and anyone preferring longer grips. Not A Fit: Riders wanting lock-on grips or ultra-soft race compounds. These are classic BMX-style slip-ons with extra length. Biggest mistake is installing them dry. They’ll spin. Use grip glue or alcohol and let them set. 166mm gives more room to move hands, especially on cruisers and wider bars. Not lock-on. Riders used to lock-ons sometimes complain about movement if installed poorly. Rubber compound is mid-firm. Not super tacky but durable. Must run bar plugs. Always check before bike leaves the shop. Wear happens on the outside edge first. Who this is really for: BMX, cruiser, dirt jump, and casual riders. Who should avoid: riders who demand lock-on security or very soft compounds. Mechanic advice: use adhesive, allow proper cure time, trim if needed for brake lever clearance, and always install bar plugs.
