Blackfoot River - Spring Fly Box

Fish the Blackfoot like you know it — because now you do.   The Blackfoot River Spring Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Blackfoot from April through early June. Spring on the Blackfoot is a season of anticipation. High flows push fish to the edges and nymphing dominates, but by late May the river is dropping and the first caddis are showing.   This box is built around the Blackfoot's spring hatch calendar — midges, early stoneflies, and BWOs. Every fly was chosen with nymphing slower water and back channels in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering stonefly nymphs, midge patterns, BWO emergers, and small soft hackles. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: Late May is the sweet spot on the Blackfoot — flows are dropping, fish are active, and the summer crowds haven't arrived. Don't sleep on this window.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Blackfoot or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
