Black Walnut and Epoxy Cookie Coffee Table

Black Walnut is our most popular wood option and you can see why! This cross cut, the cut that shows the rings of a tree, is also known as a cookie. These tables are few and far between at this size and thickness due to the tree itself having to grow to a wide enough measurement. Epoxy is used to fill the void in the center of this walnut cookie, accentuating the deep brown coloring within its grain!  Please note that none of our products are exactly the same. When working with real wood, each product will have some variation. Upon purchase, we will craft a similar product to your selected product if the one pictured is sold. Please contact us if you have any specific requests or questions! Each piece of Woodrich live edge furniture is a unique piece of art expertly crafted to accentuate the natural beauty of the wood and provide its owner with a lifetime of value. We are the only live edge furniture company who uses the innovative technologies created by the founder for milling and kiln drying wood. Our business has provided tremendous care over this piece of wood to take it from tree to shelf. Our product is designed by Mother Nature. When nature’s impact on the finished product has such an intense tie to the product it is imperative to manage organic materials with the respect they deserve. Logs are not grown with the intent to sell, but instead we seek out urban logs that have become deceased or in declining health. The holistic approach to providing a second life to each tree. Nature’s beauty is differentiated with the uniqueness found in each tree used. Every tree history creates unique character, color, shape, and size to create a highly individualized personality. The individuality in each piece provides for significant product differentiation and the ability for each work to stand alone as a piece of art. In a world of automation, we believe in controlling the process through manual craftsmanship taking each tree to table. This allows for the honoring each tree’s individual inherent value. Craftsmanship allows for the honoring of each wood’s innate beauty, flaws and eccentricities, which capture the beauty in each piece.
