Sunlight: Ensure that your beans receive full sun exposure, preferably at least 6-8 hours of sunlight per day, to promote healthy growth and maximize yields. Planting: Sow the seeds directly into the garden bed or container after the danger of frost has passed in your region. Plant the seeds about 1-2 inches deep and space them 2-4 inches apart in rows or blocks. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but avoid waterlogging. Beans require regular, even watering, especially during dry spells. Mulching: Applying a layer of organic mulch around the plants helps conserve soil moisture, suppress weed growth, and maintain even soil temperatures. Harvesting: Black Turtle Bush Beans are typically ready for harvest 60-70 days after planting. Harvest the pods when they are still tender and before the beans inside become too mature and tough.
