Black Tipped Reef Shark

24x48 Acrylic & Ink on Maple Panel, Black Walnut Frame, 2025. A dynamic portrait of one of the ocean’s most agile hunters, Black Tipped Reef Shark captures the elegant tension of life beneath the surface. The sleek, hand-painted shark glides across a sea of stylized pattern work—cool blue bubbles, leaf-like green forms, and golden rays radiating like underwater sunlight. This piece is a celebration of balance: between motion and stillness, organic form and geometric structure, expressive color and finely detailed line work. Each element is drawn and painted by hand on wood, with the grain subtly visible beneath the composition—a quiet nod to the natural world that inspired it. Framed in solid wood, Black Tipped Reef Shark brings both energy and calm to the wall, inviting viewers into an underwater world of rhythm, contrast, and curiosity.
