Black Siris Serving Slab

A serving slab hand-carved from black siris, a dense hardwood with a deep, almost black grain that varies considerably from board to board. Good for cheese, charcuterie, bread, or a few small bites, and handsome enough to leave out between uses. Two sizes: a fourteen-inch square and a smaller eight by six-and-a-third. Wood this dark shows knife marks, which it wears well. Oil it monthly with mineral oil and keep it clear of the dishwasher.
