BLACK PROJECT SURGE 3-Piece Paddle

Sup Surfing Paddle The best SUP surfing paddle – The lightweight, agile & strong SUP paddle for surfers. This is the most used paddle by APP surfing athletes including Bernd Roediger, Wellington Reis, Leo Gimenes, Sebastian Gomez Del Castillo, Vania Torres Olivieri, and Arthur Arutkin. Maximilian Torres demonstrated the paddle’s pedigree by winning the SUP Surfing world title at the 2023 ISA World Championships. The lightweight, powerful & responsive 3-piece travel SUP paddle for surfers on the move Lightweight and strong, the SURGE was designed to meet SUP surfers’ specific needs and has become the paddle of choice for many APP World Tour athletes including; Mo Freitas, Leco Salazar, Lara Claydon, Vania Torres Olivieri and more. Scooped dihedral blade shaping holds water in the power phase, delivering that quick acceleration needed to scratch into a set wave or escape the impact zone. To improve stability, the extended tapered scoop ensures you’ll get the most out of each stroke, even if you don’t get the full blade in the water. The 3-piece version of the Surge has 2 x HEX joins for a secure fit, producing a 1-piece paddle feel in a travel option. All 3-piece SURGE paddles come complete with our padded and compartmentalized 3-piece paddle bag. For SUP surfers looking to catch more waves, rip harder, and experience less fatigue during long sessions, the Surge delivers. The Scooped Dihedral blade bites the water and delivers the instant acceleration needed to scratch into set waves or escape the impact zone. To improve stability, the extended tapered scoop ensures you’ll always get a powerful stroke. Thanks to our 30T carbon construction, the Surge is not only the lightest surf paddle on the market (from 350 gr / 12.35 oz) but also incredibly durable, built to withstand a pounding from the burliest waves. Our smooth blade edges increase safety and blade strength, while also reducing damage to your board’s rails. The L, M, S and XS blades feature our reduced (26mm) diameter shaft (RDS/Slim) for increased comfort, while the XL uses our regular (29mm) shaft for larger paddlers. Scooped Dihedral Blade Technology (SDBT) The Surge incorporates our Scooped Dihedral Blade Technology (SDBT) which holds water securely through the power phase, eliminating lateral movement and delivering force in a smooth, efficient manner. The extension of the dihedral ridge towards the toe of the blade keeps it stable and delivering power, even if you don’t get a full paddle stroke. The concave design of the two sides of the dihedral increases power output. The Surge blade is predictable, powerful, and efficient, encouraging the use of smaller sizes. Surf Grip Handle The hollow pre-preg carbon Surf Grip (formerly known as the T-handle) is a standout feature of the Surge paddle. With its unique flat front and curved back design, this handle provides direct tactile feedback to the paddler, ensuring precise blade orientation. The compact size of the Surf Grip enhances paddle agility and ensures a secure hold during wipeouts. Constructed with thirteen layers of carbon, this handle is built to withstand the rigors of surfing while maintaining an impressively light weight of only 22 grams (0.78 oz)—making it the lightest paddle handle in our lineup. Apex Carbon Shaft The Apex shafts also feature 30T pre-preg carbon laminates for reduced weight and increased paddling power. Being marginally stiffer than previous models the shafts have been optimized for the full range of paddlers. With the trend towards slightly higher volume SUP surf boards, we wanted to increase power slightly and these new shafts help us achieve this while maintaining our familiar flex, reducing fatigue, and safeguarding against injury – when the surf is good, we want you to make the most of it with long pain free sessions. Designed & Built For Surfing The Surge was designed to meet the specific demands of SUP surfing; it has become the paddle of choice for many competitive and recreational SUP surfers worldwide. We set out to create the best SUP surfing paddle on the market—the Surge is that paddle. At the end of the day, we’re SUP surfers too and that inspires what we do.
