Black Mondo Grass

Extremely Popular Color in Landscaping A favorite among the ornamental grasses... expect plenty of "wows" when folks see this color in your yard. A favorite Among Landscape Architects You don't see black very often in landscaping. That's what makes this mondo grass so unique- at just 12 inches tall, it still attracts attention! Glossy, dark leaves are topped with bell-shaped pale flowers that range in color from pink to white in mid-summer. The flowers will turn into shiny berries that stay with the slim evergreen foliage all winter long. Very Low Maintenance and Easy to Grow Black Mondo Grass thrives in full sun to part shade in just about any garden setting - like among the flowers in a traditional flower bed, or mingling with the shrubs in the landscape. Keep it well watered its first year, then sit back and enjoy the four-season show. Looks Great Anywhere - Very Versatile Try it in a hanging container or in rows along your garden. It is especially attractive when planted alongside blooming shrubs that provide a stark contrast to black. Like most ornamental grasses, the Black Mondo works well as a potted plant! Wherever you choose to plant Black Mondo Grass, the wow factor is sure to follow. Note: If you purchase this grass in fall-winter, it may be cut back for the plant’s health. If your grass is cut back, don’t worry - it will grow even happier and healthier next spring!
