Black Magic Woman

In Black Magic Woman - Andrius Miezis conjures a being caught between charm and chaos, laughter and incantation. The figure’s glossy black skin gleams like liquid night, while eruptions of silvery droplets burst from her head - thoughts or spells taking flight. Her enormous, many-eyed gaze radiates manic wisdom, and her stitched red lips suggest secrets barely held together. The words on her palms - Space is the place and This place is yours - expand the painting into cosmic theater. They read like invitations to step into her strange dimension - one that oscillates between ritual and rebellion. Behind her, primitive stick figures and dreamlike symbols scrawl across an orange haze - echoes of ancient cave walls or subconscious hieroglyphs. Through this surreal chorus, Miezis transforms the archetype of the witch into an emblem of creative power - electric, uncontainable, and defiantly alive.
