'Black Knight' Butterfly Bush - Buddleia davidii

A garden classic since 1959, ‘Black Knight’ butterfly bush boasts some of the most dramatically colored flowers you’ll find in a butterfly bush. They aren’t quite black, but they are an intriguing deep purple-blue that few other plants can match. This butterfly bush looks fantastic paired with bright pinks, crisp whites, and cheery yellows. Deadheading is recommended for this old-fashioned variety to encourage continued flower production. ‘Black Knight’ received the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in 1993.
