Black Is Black Bearded Iris

Black Is Black delivers some of the deepest, darkest blooms available—velvety petals so rich they appear jet-black in the landscape. Balanced atop strong, upright stems, the ruffled flowers make a striking statement in borders, iris beds and cut-flower arrangements. This reliable variety is easy to grow and returns year after year with impressive vigor. For dramatic contrast, plant where the dark blooms can be backlit by the sun or contrasted against lighter ornamental companions.
