Black Ice

Ice Lake, in the San Juan National Forest, is rarely photographed in black in white. It's teal waters and lush surroundings lend themselves to vibrant photos, but on this overcast morning I was struck the moody feel of an approaching storm and decided that I wanted a different look. The resulting in-camera black and white has a gorgeous, fine art feel and, shot with Fuji spectacular medium format GFX 100s, showcases unbelievable detail across the entire scene.  This is a large, 48x72 inch photograph designed to fill a big space and be the centerpiece of any wall. It's offered as a fine-art print on archival-quality paper as well as ready-to-hang aluminum. It's limited to 11 copies and ships free to all lower 48 states.
