Explore more in our Handmade Daggers collection. The double-edge profile tapers cleanly to a sharp point in the classic quillon dagger style. The straight silver crossguard and small round silver ball pommel complete the piece with classic, understated proportion. Why the Quillon Dagger Style Still Matters A quillon dagger is a medieval-style dagger with a straight crossguard, called a quillon, between the blade and handle. This style was widely used across Europe from the 12th to 16th centuries by knights, soldiers, and nobility. The Black Grip Handmade Medieval Dagger uses this classic quillon design with a straight silver crossguard and a clean double-edge blade. Black Leather-Wrapped Handle: Comfort and Character The handle is 5 inches of tight horizontal black leather wrapping, clean, grippy, and well-executed. The ridged wrap pattern is applied consistently from guard to pommel, giving the handle a distinctive look that stands apart from plain handle designs. Leather-wrapped handles were common on real medieval daggers and remain one of the most popular choices for collectors and replica buyers today. Acid-Washed Steel: More Than Just a Pretty Finish The blade carries an acid-washed finish, a process that treats the blade surface with an acid solution that chemically etches the steel, producing a matte, textured, slightly aged appearance. Unlike a mirror polish, the acid-wash finish reduces glare, hides minor surface marks, and gives the blade a rugged, authentic medieval look. Straight Quillon Crossguard, and Ready for Display The straight silver crossguard and silver ball pommel complete the piece with classic, understated proportion, a traditional finishing touch that balances the dagger and rounds out the medieval look. At a compact 12 inches overall, this dagger is perfect for desk display, wall display, gift presentation, or collector cases. What Comes With It Each Black Grip Handmade Medieval Dagger is individually crafted and quality-checked before shipping, arriving ready to display, mount, or hand off as a gift straight out of the box.
