Black Gnat - Parachute

Stone Creek™ Black Gnat – Parachute The Stone Creek™ Black Gnat – Parachute is a highly effective variation of a classic dry fly pattern designed to imitate small dark insects resting in the surface film. Featuring a sleek all-black profile and a highly visible parachute post, this pattern provides a realistic presentation while remaining easy for anglers to track on the water. The parachute design allows the fly to ride low in the surface film, closely imitating natural insects that trout commonly feed upon. This natural posture makes it especially effective when targeting selective trout in calm water, spring creeks, lakes, ponds, and slow-moving streams. The highly visible parachute post improves visibility in low-light conditions and at longer distances without sacrificing the realistic profile that makes the Black Gnat so productive. Whether fished during midge activity, light hatches, or as a searching pattern for surface-feeding trout, the Black Gnat – Parachute remains a dependable addition to any dry fly box. Features: • Parachute design for enhanced visibility and balance • Realistic low-riding profile in the surface film • Highly visible parachute post for easy tracking • Effective for selective trout and technical fishing situations • Excellent in lakes, ponds, spring creeks, and slow-moving streams • Productive during midge activity and light hatches • Proven dry fly pattern for trout Imitates: • Gnats • Midges • Small Dark Insects • Surface-Dwelling Aquatic Insects Available Sizes: • #14 • #16 • #18 Fishing Tips: Fish with a drag-free drift across calm water, slow seams, tailouts, and glassy pools where trout are feeding selectively on small insects.
