Anna Weatherley BLACK FLORAL LIMOGES BOX

Anna Weatherley Black Floral Limoges Box      The Black Floral Limoges Box by Anna Weatherley is a striking expression of timeless artistry and refined European craftsmanship. Created from authentic Limoges porcelain sourced in France, the box is then meticulously hand-painted in Budapest, Hungary, where Anna Weatherley’s studio continues to honor the centuries-old traditions of fine porcelain painting. Each box is transformed into a miniature canvas by skilled artisans who apply their brushwork with the same level of detail and care once reserved for royal porcelain commissions.    The piece features a dramatic black background that sets the stage for a delicate array of hand-painted florals, rendered in vibrant hues that appear almost luminous against the dark ground. This bold contrast enhances the intricacy of the floral patterns and adds a sense of depth and sophistication, making each box a one-of-a-kind treasure. Every brushstroke is applied with precision, offering a glimpse into the artist’s training in classical botanical illustration and the studio’s dedication to maintaining traditional painting techniques.    Compact and elegant, this porcelain box measures approximately three inches long and two inches wide—just the right size to hold small keepsakes, jewelry, pills, or personal mementos. Its hinged design and finely detailed clasp offer both function and charm, while the smooth glazed interior keeps items protected and secure. Though petite in scale, the box is rich in character and presence, easily commanding attention when displayed on a vanity, dressing table, or in a collector’s cabinet.    The Black Floral Limoges Box is more than a decorative object; it is a testament to the enduring appeal of hand-painted porcelain and the legacy of craftsmanship that Anna Weatherley continues to preserve. Whether presented as a meaningful gift, added to a fine porcelain collection, or cherished as a personal keepsake, this box carries with it a quiet elegance and heirloom quality that transcends trends.    Weighing approximately four to six ounces, the piece is light enough for everyday enjoyment but substantial enough to reflect its quality and refinement. Its surface should be hand washed gently and dried with care to preserve its painted finish for generations to come.   Black Floral Limoges Box Material: Hand-painted porcelain Limoges Box: A small, hinged, hand-painted porcelain trinket box originating from the Limoges region of France Measurements: Length 3 inches, width 2 inches Weight: Approx.  4–6 oz (113–170 g)  Care: Hand-wash.
