Black Diamond Serac Clip Crampons

A 12-point alpine crampon for mountaineers and ski alpinists running boots without a front toe welt, the Serac Clip Crampons from Black Diamond use stainless steel construction for resistance to corrosion and snowballing on multi-day alpine objectives where gear cannot be dried between days. Horizontal front points provide stable platform performance on steep step-kicking terrain and icy descents, while the classic secondary and substantial rear points give the Serac Clip the bite needed for variable conditions from firm summer snow to blue ice approaches. Dual-density ABS plates at the front bail attachment add durability at the point most subject to boot flex stress during extended use. At 905g per pair in stainless steel with a clip binding designed for boots without a toe welt, 12 points, and horizontal front points, the Serac Clip is Black Diamond's stainless alpine crampon for moderate-to-variable mountaineering terrain on technical mountain boots that lack the full welt of a dedicated mountaineering boot.
