Black Balls

The black and white patterns of their swimwear compliment the grey toned sky behind them, creating a dark atmosphere of unpredictability.This work is typical of Lotus’ style which uses repetition and geometric shapes to create unusual compositions often resembling surrealist films with their monochrome, dreamlike images, and an affinity for globe-like motifs. Despite the uniform choreographed poses of the women, the central figure is standing slightly off centre to the right, disrupting the perfect arrangement.
