Black ASA Filament AMS Compatible

Black ASA Filament — AMS Compatible When your prints need to live outdoors, handle heat, or survive UV exposure, ASA is the right call. It offers the same ease of printing as ABS with significantly better UV and weather resistance — making it the go-to material for enclosures, brackets, automotive trim, and anything that sees sunlight. Our Black ASA is made from premium virgin resin with a rich colorant for a deep, consistent black finish print after print. HEX COLOR: #414140 — per Filamentcolors.xyz. Colors may vary slightly based on print settings and screen calibration. Why ASA? UV resistant — won't yellow, fade, or become brittle from sun exposure like PLA or ABS High heat resistance — rated to 105°C, ideal for under-hood, outdoor, and high-temp environments Prints like ABS — familiar workflow, similar settings, better outdoor durability Nearly zero warpage — with an enclosure and heated bed, ASA lays down flat and bonds well Premium virgin resin — no regrind, consistent melt flow, vibrant color lot-to-lot Also available in 3.5KG jumbo rolls — click HERE ⚙️ Print Setup Tips ASA requires a heated bed and benefits greatly from an enclosure. Avoid part cooling fans and drafts during printing — airflow is the #1 cause of warping and delamination with ASA. 🔬 Production-Grade Traceability & Quality Control Every spool of Atomic Filament is manufactured under laser-monitored quality control — measuring diameter and roundness in real time throughout the entire extrusion process. This means every meter of filament meets our ±0.02mm tolerance, not just a sample at the start of the run. Batch-to-Batch Consistency: Each production run is logged and traceable — critical for repeatable results across multiple orders. Laser Diameter Monitoring: Continuous in-line measurement ensures no weak spots, diameter spikes, or ovality issues that cause clogs or failed prints mid-run. Made in Indiana, USA: Full visibility into our supply chain — from raw resin to finished spool — with no overseas black-box manufacturing. Quality / Specs Print nozzle temp: 240–260°C Bed temp: 90–110°C — enclosure strongly recommended Diameter tolerance: ±0.02mm or better Roundness (ovality): ±0.02mm or better 🌱 Sustainable Choice ♻️ Spool Return Program: Get $2 credit when you return your empty Atomic spool Made in Indiana, USA: Lower carbon footprint vs overseas imports Learn more about our sustainability initiatives →
