BKK Hyper Latch Quad-Urchin

The ARMORPOINT Hyperlatch Quad-Urchin is purpose-built for rigging urchin-style soft baits with a unique dual-wire bait-locking system. Designed to eliminate the shortcomings of traditional rigging methods, it minimizes damage to the bait while preventing it from sliding or being thrown free during use. An integrated dual-wire locking pin, positioned directly beneath the hook’s central axis, passes straight through the center of the bait. Once secured, the wire locks the bait firmly in place, keeping it perfectly centered on the hook. This axial fixation prevents the bait from shifting during long casts, aggressive rod movements, or violent strikes, while also reducing line twist. By securing the bait through its center, the four hook points remain perfectly and evenly positioned around the bait’s 360° circumference. This balanced presentation preserves the bait’s natural fall while maximizing hook-up opportunities from any angle. Combined with Hyperlatch’s 1X-strong Hyper Carbon Steel (HCS) construction and Super Slide (SS) coating, the Quad-Urchin delivers fast hook penetration, exceptional strength, and the confidence to handle trophy-class fish. Axial bait locking keeps urchin-style softbaits centered through long casts, sharp rod twitches, and head-shakes, giving anglers greater control over presentation when targeting suspended bass. The center-through keeper secures the bait with less body tearing, helping anglers preserve expensive softbaits and fish longer with fewer re-rigs. A balanced 360° quad-point layout surrounds the bait evenly, supporting clean hook exposure from multiple strike angles while maintaining a natural falling action. The 1X-strong HCS wire construction provides dependable rigidity under hard hooksets and heavy fights, giving anglers confidence when a trophy-class fish commits. Low-friction Super Slide (SS) coating and needle-point geometry help reduce penetration resistance, turning subtle bites into more responsive hooksets without sacrificing pulling power.
