BitterSweet

Eleven year old Goldie Feldman thinks she's a normal girl. But on what could have been a very normal day, she found out that she is anything but... When her father calls her "sweetie" – she starts to cry. When her mother offers her to go on a vacation retreat together – she is not happy. When her grandmother buys her chocolate –  she can't fall asleep at night. Does that sound strange to you? That's because you haven't yet read this book. Over the course of a year and a half, Goldie writes about the diabetes that invaded her life without permission, and what happens to her because of it – both good and not so good. Not always are Goldie's days sweet, but they are always brave, believing and full of smiles. Just like she is. by Devora Rand
