Bitterroot River - Fall Fly Box

Fish the Bitterroot like you know it — because now you do.   The Bitterroot River Fall Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Bitterroot from September through November. Fall on the Bitterroot brings BWO hatches, streamer opportunities, and brown trout that are feeding aggressively before spawn. The valley colors are spectacular and fishing pressure drops significantly after Labor Day.   This box is built around the Bitterroot's fall hatch calendar — blue-winged olives, mahogany duns, and late caddis. Every fly was chosen with streamer fishing and dry fly fishing during BWO hatches in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering streamers, BWO dries, mahogany duns, and large attractor nymphs. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: October on the Bitterroot is underrated. Crowds are gone, the river is fishing beautifully, and brown trout are as aggressive as they'll be all year. Fish streamers through the deeper bends and undercut banks.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Bitterroot or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
