Bison Hide Pistol Cases (and just now a few African Elephant/bison hide ...

April 3, 2025.  In the tradition of "using all parts" .. mostly of our bison, but also of other game and non game animals, we have purchased a couple lots of various "ass ends" of tanned hides ... the front part of which went to hang on someone's wall. These beautiful hides have great utility and we are now "on the wait" to have more pistol, rifle and shotgun cases, range bags etc. paired with bison.  Too many to enumerate, but we will get some pictures up here soon.  No reason to let these hide pieces go to waste.  Now, I'm not really an animal mount guy ... but to each their own.  All I am saying it these are very nice hide pieces and will accent our bison leather in special fashion .... soon, I hope.   March 1, 2025:  Just got a huge surprise!  a box of 31 NEW PISTOL CASES FROM AGI!!!   Bob will get these up on line as quickly as he can ... some super combinations in 10"; 12' AND 14" .... 17 pieces of 14".... (and pssst!   I'm holding the price just as it was 14 months ago ... so help yourselves) (November 18, 2024) received 10 new pistol cases ... all 12".  Hope this means more will be coming soon .... but if you want/need/been waiting for one grab it quickly!! WE CANNOT KEEP UP WITH DEMAND ... nor can the great folks - Craig and Cere - at African Game Industries in Ft. Worth, who build these excellent bison hides, bison shearling & bison leather pistol cases. IF WE DO NOT HAVE THE SIZE/COLOR/STYLE YOU NEED, call me to get your order in line.   817.992,8220.   We use to get in roughly 3 dozen a month ... this batch is the first in over a year! 4 standard sizes:  8"; 10", 12" and 14".   3 basic color/material combinations: all rugged bison hide two tone - bison hide and bison leather (couple different leather colors) bison shearling and bison leather And now, The Elephant/Bison cases.  Earlier in 2023 I was watching an auction in Ft. Worth that was mostly head and shoulder mounts; lots of very interesting pieces.  They had a small random box of elephant hide.  I got it (and a pretty large piece of gator).  Mr. Craig at AGI (who use to run one of South Africa's largest hide tanneries) knew exactly .. to the part of the body and who tanned it ... what I had.  He says it is absolutely the best. Now he has turned those pieces into a very limited and very special set of pistol cases.  We will grab the next one on the shelf; there are no bad ones but each has a little different grain structure.  We have also delivered to them a number of African hides ... the back half of trophy caped mounts - kudu, eland, wildebeest, rhino and a couple more.  Can't wait to see what they turn into!!   We can do custom material combinations and sizes (like 16" or 18") if you need - just drop us a note or call. We can also get your name or initials embroidered on the leather (or on a matching or contrasting leather patch  Now, these "bison hide" cases are built out of "craft grade" bison hides ... which means that they have quite a bit of "character" .... the natural skin color - bison brown but with some summer hair, scars, great deep grain on most all.  Rugged and rustic to be sure, but completely authentic bison. The shearling part is garment grade bison sheared hides; exceptionally soft and durable.  Likewise, it is a bit more expensive Unique shrunken grain pressed dark brown bison leather -  Great contrast.
