Bishara: Mantarang

Picture an opulent cocktail of exotic fruits, the velvety softness of creamy florals, and the grounding warmth of dry, sandy woods. From the moment it launched as an attar, Bishara’s luscious, layered character became an instant favorite among the Ensar Oud community. Now, with this new edition, Bishara is enhanced with an unreleased fruity-incense distillation called Basic Kinam, while the vanilla-cinnamon nuances are perfected with the legendary Mantarang – a purple-blue beauty and one of my most prized ouds. Hailing from Mantarang, distilled a decade ago, this is oud is so dear to me, I’ve only used it once in a one-off edition. And what it does to the iris heart of White Nights is total bliss to wrap yourself with.  And this limited edition takes Bishara even further, infusing the composition with rare florals and woods that span the globe. This extraordinary fragrance draws on the radiant blooms of Madagascar, the sunlit petals of Tanzania, and exotic allure of the Comoros Islands. These florals lend an ethereal richness and elegance, perfectly balanced against a foundation of premium aromatics sourced from the lush rainforests of Brazil to the towering peaks of the Himalayas. The result? A profile that is more expansive, stratified, and breathtakingly layered than ever before. Imagine the vibrant fruit platters served on the streets of Thailand – ripe pear, sweet mango, juicy mandarin, and creamy banana – nestled in a white bowl of Indian milk pudding suspended in the resinous, piercing tone of Basic Kinam . This gourmand medley is infused with a dusting of African spices, a sprinkle of crushed Mediterranean nuts, and topped off with the deep, vanillic cinnamon touch of Mantarang. Beneath this decadent spread lies the unmistakable presence of rich Turkish coffee, lending a luxurious, silky depth to the composition. As one early reviewer raved: “A bowl of exotic fruits dipped in milk pudding, garnished with spices, and topped with probably the most delicious coconut note I’ve ever smelled. Next to it, a cup of freshly brewed coffee and a smoldering chunk of agarwood fill the air with magic.” And if that weren’t enough, Bishara now boasts a base of musk-infused sandalwood – seductive, creamy, and irresistibly smooth. This decadent foundation amplifies the richness of Basic Kinam and ensures that every note is as distinct as each fruit on the platter. Bishara isn’t just delicious – it’s a dense, layered composition saturated with the world’s finest oud oils, crowned with Mantarang and enriched with some of the rarest ingredients on Earth. It’s a gourmand like no other: opulent, irresistible, and worthy of its place in the hall of fame for Ensar Oud creations. Indulge in the symphony of sweets, cream, spice, and oud, elevated by exotic florals and woods that span continents and redefine luxury. And because perfection is all about the finest details, we’ve made a little tweak to ensure this Bishara is as smooth on your skin as it is on your soul. You can thank our Swedish friend for that! Includes 5 grams of Basic Kinam and 1.7 grams of Mantarang per 50ml. #gap-415181744 { padding-top: 30px; } Reviews of Previous Edition… The opening compared to Bishara Attar is more Woody and Oudy. I think this is the impact of Oud Extraordinaire. Later you get more of what you expect and what you know from Bishara Attar. The Coconut is coming through slowly with hints of Coffee, Spices and Sweet Nuances. I really enjoy Cinnamon and Honey what I get in the Heart of it with some nice Vanilla. I would say this Cinnamon / Vanilla Vibes are coming from the Borneo 3000 as I think I had similar impressions when wearing Borneo 3000 from 2024. When Bishara Borneo 3000 is dried down, it is nice and Woody with hints of Mango and light creamyness. For me as someone who really enjoys wearing Bishara Attar, Bishara Borneo 3000 is a well-blended Perfume which got the Bishara DNA in perfect combination with Oud Extraordinaire and the Borneo 3000. —Florian K / Germany I just had to do it! Let me tell you one thing guys, the bishara spray is absolutely amazing. The fruity gourmand smell of the attar has been perfectly enhanced by the additional ouds! It’s a beast, a gourmand beast with a proper touch of oudy-woody notes. UPDATE: The most delicious gourmand spray that money can buy! Beautiful coconut, a touch of coffee with warm spices next to an exotic fruit platter. All drenched in sweet woody oud. I’ve tried the Absolue Precieux version as well and I can say with confidence that this one’s indeed the better version! UPDATE: Now that I’ve spent some time with the spray version of Bishara I can say with confidence that this is the best take on a sprayable form of the attar. Performance is very good (I think the attar is still a bit more loud but that’s probably because of the concentration). Longevity is epic, this is one of the sprays that stays on your skin for the entire day. Spraying bishara on your clothes will make them smell like delicious coconut-coffe-fruit-oud until you throw them in the washing machine. UPDATE: Still the undefeated champion of gourmand scents! Beautiful coconut, milky notes, fruits and spices with a touch of oud. A great performer and one of the most complimented perfumes in my collection. One of my alltime favorite EO perfumes! —Chris A / Germany Bishara: Borneo 3000 to me is very cozy, and gourmand-woody that feels like wearing a warm, exotic dessert. It opens with creamy coconut and a hint of banana or coffee that form into rich cinnamon and bourbon vanilla—immediately soothing and slightly sweet. Many describe it as “addictive,” like a coconut‑coffee‑fruit blend drenched in oud, and it truly delivers—intimate, luxurious, and perfect for those quiet moments when you want to feel wrapped in creamy elegance. —Kristian M / USA Creamy, silky and luxurious marvel by Ensar Oud I can’t justify this with words but I will try. Starting off with fruity notes very well blend in coconut milk rounded and creamy, combined with the beauty of Oud Extraordinary and the sweetness of Borneo 3000. The silkiness comes from coffee note I guess but here I fell in love and just wanna stay in the aroma forever. One of the most luxurious fragrance I have tried. —Zulfiqar K / Pakistan Made my first entry into the world of Ensar oud with Bishara : Borneo 3000. And what an incredible fragrance to start the journey with, wow! I must confess that this was not love at first sniff. However with some time the fragrance revealed itself to my nose. To my untrained nose, Bishara opens very dry and old. It has a powderyness to it, almost like freshly milled rice flour. Very soon a mild sweetness starts to appear followed by some aromatic spice and perhaps even coconut but a dry one. It’s an extremely comforting scent. The picture that comes to my mind when smelling this fragrance is an old pantry room in an Indian household in the 90’s. The room smells antique and dusty, with earthenware jars filled with fruits and spices. The ceiling is built on timber that has dried and matured. You are standing inside this room and you take a deep breath. That’s what this fragrance is to me. Absolutely blessed to have this in my collection. —Reno K / India
