BioMatrix Medium 600 ML Bio Media

aquaLife BioMatrix LiveRock – Biological Media High-Capacity Porous Biological Filtration Media for Advanced Aquatic Systems aquaLife BioMatrix is engineered to provide high levels of usable surface area that remains accessible to beneficial bacteria, rather than relying on theoretical measurements that include pores too small for effective biological activity – Highly porous, naturally inert media – Provides superior bio-filtration and denitrification – Aerobically removes ammonia and nitrite while reducing nitrate Product Overview aquaLife BioMatrix LiveRock provides superior biological substrate for the colonization of nitrogen-reducing bacteria. Designed with a highly porous natural structure, this advanced media supports both aerobic and anaerobic bacterial zones, allowing for complete biological filtration in any aquarium system. Unlike basic ceramic media, aquaLife BioMatrix LiveRock enables: – Rapid ammonia and nitrite conversion on the outer surface – Natural nitrate reduction within internal pore structures This dual-action capability makes it an ideal solution for long-term system stability and water quality improvement. Available Grades & Applications Small Grade (750 mL) Optimized for maximum surface area in limited space. Best for: – Canister filters – All-in-one aquariums – Compact sump systems Provides the highest packing density and maximum biological capacity per cubic foot. Medium Grade Balanced performance between flow and surface area. Best for: – Standard sump systems – Hang-on-back filters – Mixed reef and community aquariums Offers excellent flow-through while maintaining high biological capacity with reduced clogging. Large Grade Designed for high-flow systems and long-term stability. Best for: – Large sumps – Wet/dry filters – Trickle towers – Pond systems Provides superior water movement, oxygen penetration, and reduced maintenance. Why aquaLife BioMatrix LiveRock is Different – True multi-stage biological filtration (ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate control) – Highly porous internal structure for deep bacterial colonization – Maintains flow while maximizing usable surface area – Multiple size options for optimized system design – Greater efficiency per volume compared to standard ceramic media Dealer Performance Insight (Per Volume Efficiency) aquaLife BioMatrix LiveRock is engineered to deliver high levels of usable surface area while maintaining proper water flow, allowing beneficial bacteria to remain active and effective over time. This results in: – More active bacteria per unit volume – Improved nitrate control over time – Stable biological performance even under heavy bio-load Directions for Use – Rinse as needed before use – Place directly into filter compartment – Filter bags may be used if preferred – Use 750 mL per 50–100 gallons of water (adjust based on bio-load) For best results: – Position after mechanical filtration – Allow consistent water flow through media Maintenance – Rinse gently in aquarium water as needed – Replace 50% annually – For denitrification optimization, replace 25% quarterly – Perform regular partial water changes The media is completely inert and will not break down over time. Safety Keep out of reach of children.
