Binchotan Purifying Charcoal

Binchotan charcoal is regarded as the purest and most effective type of activated charcoal and is revered for its purifying ability. 100% Ubame Oak, made in ancient kilns. High temperatures and quick cooling, by dousing with ash, result in glass-like and beautiful branches. Add to a carafe of water, and the microscopic cavities left in the wood will remove unwanted toxins and impurities, and soften and improve taste. Completely natural, the sticks are great for the garden and can be disposed of in soil once they start to diminish in efficacy (about 3 months). Available in 2 stick and 4 stick bags. Each bag includes an assortment of charcoal pieces of various sizes. Made in Wakayama, Japan.
