Billet E9x/E8x (135i / 335i/is N54 RWD) DSSR Selector Rod - 25117524722 Overview Introducing our Billet DSSR for your E9x/E8x with chassis mounted shifter!  This V1 DSSR is designed to give the tightest shifter feel when paired with a chassis mounted shifter of your choice. Our DSSR's are now laser engraved on each end now to show which side goes to the shifter and which end goes to the transmission, which helps to eliminate all the guesswork during installation. We machine our DSSR to the exact tolerance specified by BMW to ensure a precision fit on your selector joint and shifter. Since our DSSR's are made from 7075 Aluminum they are incredibly strong and will last for many many years to come!  This Billet DSSR is designed to be a direct replacement for E9x/E8x N54 RWD and some diesel models equipped with an OEM selector rod part number 25117524722. Must have a chassis mounted shifter solution! Will NOT clear the factory upper carrier arm. It's a really good idea to change your transmission fluid while you are down there. We recommend this fluid: https://amzn.to/41KYOnn . One of these is also helpful when your doing it: https://amzn.to/3N3piN2 WHAT IS A DSSR? It stands for double shear selector rod. A DSSR will spread the torsional force on both sides of the selector rod instead of the OEM selector rod which connects from one side only. DSSR's are awesome as they help to reduce play in the shifter, (decreases side-to-side motion), which in turn creates a more precise and smooth shift. Now to the details. Our DSSR's are made from 7075 Aluminum, and come with stainless steel threaded hardware to ensure that they never come loose over time! Please note: Compatible with OEM style shifters and our Garagistic short shifters (some OEM shifters may need to be slightly filed down to fit). Please Note: This DSSR is designed to be used with an OEM or Garagistic Late Model BMW selector joint. We recommend our Garagistic Late Model Selector Joint: Late Model Selector Joint Want to upgrade your shifter? You can find both our shifters here: Garagistic Short Shifters Features Hardware Included: Comes with the necessary shoulder bolts for install Material: 7075 Aluminum DSSR Features: Perfectly machined ends specific to each side Production: CNC milled Fitment Fits E8x/E9x with Chassis Mounted Shifters only, ex: our Self Centering Shifter Due to the extremely tight clearance under the shifter in the E9x/E8x, this DSSR is not recommended for shifter setups that utilize the factory upper shifter arm.
