Bighorn River - Fall Fly Box

Fish the Bighorn like you know it — because now you do.   The Bighorn River Fall Fly Box is hand-curated specifically for the conditions, hatches, and trout behavior you'll encounter on the Bighorn from September through November. Fall on the Bighorn is exceptional. Reduced pressure, BWO hatches, and big brown trout becoming aggressive before spawn create some of the best fishing of the year.   This box is built around the Bighorn's fall hatch calendar — blue-winged olives, mahogany duns, and midges. Every fly was chosen with dry fly fishing during BWO hatches and streamer fishing for big browns in mind, giving you exactly what you need to match what the fish are eating at this time of year.   What's in the box: 36 flies total — 18 unique patterns, 2 of each — covering BWO dries, mahogany duns, large streamers, and midge clusters. No filler. No patterns that don't belong on this river in this season.   Pro tip from the water: October on the Bighorn is a sleeper — crowds drop off dramatically after Labor Day and the fishing only gets better. Big brown trout are the target and streamers produce trophy fish.   Whether you're making your first trip to the Bighorn or you fish it every season, this box gives you a proven starting lineup so you can spend more time fishing and less time digging through bins at the fly shop.   Includes a quality waterproof fly box. All flies are hand-tied to Bozeman FlyWorks standards — the same quality we'd put on our own lines.
