Saxophone Quartet | SATB | Advanced | Item SQ1015 Description While by no means a strict Irish reel, "Big Ben's Reel" is a delightfully energetic romp of a saxophone quartet. In fact, it's a bit of a multi-cultural Irish stew, with references to Balkan music (alto) and American funk (tenor). Those of you familiar with my earlier work Cityscapes will appreciate the nod to Jewish music (baritone) as well. "Big Ben" was commissioned by Ben Drouet, a wonderful English saxophone teacher. He had me write this piece for the Sax Pistols, a fantastic high-school aged saxophone quartet he coaches. 4 min. 15 seconds View Score Video Additional Info Composed by: Rick Hirsch Arranged by: Rick Hirsch Ensemble: Saxophone Quartet Format: Conductor Score & Parts Parts included: Soprano saxophone Alto saxophone Tenor saxophone Bari saxophone
