Big Stick Tee

Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt is one of America's most popular presidents. At age 42, he became the youngest person to assume the U.S. presidency after President William McKinley was assassinated. TR was a charismatic hunter, soldier, historian, explorer, Secretary of the Navy, and naturalist that captivated a nation struggling to establish a new identity in the years after the Civil War. "The Big Stick" believed everyone deserved "a square deal" and probably every animal. The teddy bear was named after Roosevelt in response to a cartoon showing the president refusing to shoot a bear tied to a tree. He considered it unsportsmanlike. C'mon, the man would take on pro boxers while he was in the White House. Oh yeah...He was shot by an attempted assassin and still gave an hour long speech with the bullet lodged in his chest. Our designers tatted him with the political art circa 1912. So if you're bold enough, speak softly and add The Big Stick Tee to your OM American Icons Collection.
