Part A, the Bicarb Gel is a modified version of our revolutionary hydrogel mix, designed to protect the Bicarb Pellets from the acidity of the stomach. Part B, the Bicarb Pellets are optimized to reduce GI distress, without compromising performance. Our larger bicarb pellets have a preferred surface area to volume ratio in order to slow release the bicarb once they reach the small intestine, instead of reacting quickly in the acidic stomach.  Why bicarbonate? High-intensity efforts flood your muscles with acid. Sodium bicarbonate helps buffer that acidity so you can hold power and pace longer. It’s one of the most studied ergogenic aids in sport, especially for hard intervals, time trials, hill climbs, and race surges. The tricky part is getting it to the small intestine, so the bicarb can be absorbed then buffer your blood, instead of your stomach.  What makes Blank's different? Affordable: Bicarb shouldn't be restricted to races. It requires a few trials to see how your body responds. Historically bicarb was so expensive it was reserved for only the biggest days. At $6 a serving, we are ⅓ the price of "Big Bicarb".  Custom control: It's by Blank's so you KNOW it's fully customizable. Choose your flavor, viscosity, or add caffeine.  Less GI Distress: Our main focus was on improving the historical GI effects from bicarb supplementing, by making larger pellets that release slower and are easier on the gut. Destroy the competition, not the bathroom.  Actually Tastes Good: Our starter kit and refill packets offer 5 flavors, while the custom mix can accommodate hundred of mix and match flavor options so you can get a bicarb mix you actually enjoy taking.  Learn more about Blank's Bicarb
